While deeply steeped in pride and accomplishment, who named us 'black' and would we, of our own, have named ourselves such? What are its impact? Is it time, as we once did, from Negro to Black, to again rename ourselves?

The Idea: The Price of Power Williams speaks of his many opportunities and experiences--beginning with his education at Amherst College and Yale Law School, his travel to Uganda and Kenya, and work in Harlem. His passion for fighting racism ultimately led him to years of service as a community organizer. Williams advocates for renewed community organizing and voting for a progressive party to carry out the "Unfinished Agenda" outlined during the 60s and early 70s.
